Top Drop Tours Margaret River – FAQs
Frequently asked questions about our Margaret River wine tours are summarised below. Please don’t hesitate to contact us for further assistance.
Why do Top Drop claim to be the Best in Australia?
Since 2011 Top Drop Tours have participated in the Western Australian Tourism Awards, winning the Gold Medal in 2013, 2014 and 2015. We are the only tour operator in the Margaret River Region to have won the title of Best Tour Operator in Western Australia.
As the gold medal winner we represented Western Australia against all state and territory winners from around Australia at the Australian Tourism Awards.
In April 2015 Top Drop Tours were awarded the Gold Medal at the Australian Tourism Awards in Adelaide, for the very first time bringing the official title of Australia’s Best Tour Operator to Australia’s South West. We repeated this incredible accomplishment in February 2016, something that no other Western Australian tour operator has ever achieved.
When we claim to be the best, it is because the Australian tourism industry has officially recognized us as such, through a demanding and comprehensive process open to every tour operator in Australia.
How many people will be on the tour?
Our tours have a maximum of 11 people. We operate a variety of vehicles that can cater for small groups from 2-11 people.
Where do we get picked up and dropped off?
If you are staying in the Margaret River Wine Region (Margaret River, Cowaramup, Yallingup, Dunsborough, Busselton, Bunker Bay or EagleBay) we will pick you up and drop you off from your accommodation at no extra charge. For those that are staying further away, we are happy to make arrangements for you.
What happens if I need to cancel my tour?
We will try to re-schedule your tour if possible, if not we will give a full refund as long as we are given a minimum of 7 days notice. A 50% cancellation fee will be applied to cancellations made with a minimum of 72 hours notice. Tours cancelled with less than 72 hours notice will not be refunded.
What clothes should I wear?
For your comfort and enjoyment, we recommend that you wear closed in footwear that will allow you to explore behind the scenes in working wineries.
What happens if it is wet and windy?
If necessary we will make adjustments to your tour itinerary, but ultimately when it is cold and wet, red wine tastes better!
Will we get to visit a brewery or the chocolate factory?
Top Drop Tours focus on the world class wine that has made Margaret River famous, however our private and charter tours are fully customised and can incorporate a visit to a brewery, chocolate factory or even a cave.
